IMO one of the best things about it is that if and when the bottom of the tank starts getting rust pinholes you have enough material that you can weld to.
When my cheapo modern ones rust through have never been able to get them welded effectively.

Latest projects, Mortising machine is almost finished and is working well.
Panel saw works like a hot damn,
Just got a treadmill and am turning it into a belt sander, will need 20" by 120" belts.
