I can't place a box painted block with a piece of clear plastic over the front and a couple holes in the back on my house legally. It would get hot in the sun and would therefore be a solar heating device which can only be installed if it's been through testing and meets federal safety rules.
You can't get rid of government and their regulating fast enough for me.
