A little more progress. I had connected all the batteries in series and made the connections to the charge controller. The poor old batteries were sitting at near 0 volts. The pack was at 1.88 volts, Nimh are bad for self discharge.
It was about 3:00 pm when I was able to close the disconnect. The controller started charging at 6-7 amps and slowly raised to 350V.
At about 6:30pm there wasn't enough sunlight to complete the charge. Oh well the sun may show itself tomorrow and complete the job.
