It's 3 wires and a ground* on the Sanyos.. (terminals 1,2 & 3)
(*blue-green on left)

5 & 6 are the 240vac.. Green chassis ground on left.
Looking at that 240 wiring, you get the feeling there is nothing in the box that needs 120vac..


14 gauge sounds like the right stuff. My first Sanyo came with a kit that
included stranded wire for the indoor comm and power.


On the second install, I used standard old 14/3 with ground..

Little tiny terminal lugs were needed, with a good sized screw hole..
I soldered them on, since it was it was solid wire.. Still working, so far..
