My toilet already has a "two-flush", sort of...

When we bought the house, I noticed you have to push really hard to make the flap open all the way and get the full flush.

Otherwise, if you don't push all the way down hard, the flapper drops back down as soon as you let off the handle.

Apparently, this is due to a mis-adjustment, but since it allows me to have both a "full-flush" and a "partial-flush" - why fix it!


Most people simply don't know how much water they use, so it's easy to waste! Any means of measuring it can help us conserve.

If you have a well and a septic tank, perhaps adding a water meter coming in off the well would help.

If you have a municipal utility, it should say right on the bill how much water you use.
