Just start a thread on the Geo heat pump page,
Geothermal & Heat Pumps - EcoRenovator

Because, around here, we bunch air source heat pumps (ASHP) in with ground source. (GSHP)

You could make the topic, "Questions about DIY Install of Mini-Splits"

Describe your local climate and some general info about your home.
How large of space do you want to heat and cool, and how good is the current insulation, do you have lossy windows & etc..

Then start off with a few questions, and get the conversation going.

We have a lot of technical expertise here on ASHP in general and a few experienced DIY Mini-Split installers.

A few people have installed newer models than my old Sanyo monsters.
There are some good install pictures shown on their posts..
Someday I'm going to own one that works down to -2deg F..

Another place to get install info is Youtube.. You just need a fast connection and the time to dig out the good ones.
