Default heat pumps

I can see Nottingham's famous castle from my house but I come in peace, hoping to learn more about heat pumps and the associated technology from the 'merry men', and possibly women, on the forum! I have been reading the various threads concerning heat pumps and hacking heat pumps with great interest, particularly those from AC Hacker and Xwringer, plus the guy from Tortosa in Spain, Arcuino, (I think) who have all done some amazing stuff. Well, I took the plunge and bought myself a 3kw, aircon unit that I will fit myself. It comes ready charged with R410 refrigerant and with ready-to-fit patented connectors. All of this appears to be quite straightforward, but then I went and bought an atlantic alfea extensa duo split system to provide heat for my radiant floor and hot water. Well, not quite true. I bought just the indoor hydraulic module, a manufacturer's return, at a reasonable price, I think, around 1,000 dollars, but I can't find the Fujitsu AOYA 18 LALL outdoor module that is needed to make it work properly. I was hoping to use a cheap aircon unit but have been told by my nephew, who is a refrigeration engineer, that I must have the compatible specced Fujitsu unit to make it all work properly. So now I've joined the forum to ask what can be done to rescue the situation before I take my spanners and wrenches to dismember the module, which would be a shame. My nephew was not forthcoming with offers of any practical help. Any thoughts anyone? PS had to remove links to be able to post.
