Vac pumps aren't too expensive.. Considering what an HVAC guy would charge you for a few hours work. I see some on Ebay for $30 to $80..
If mine still works, I'll be using it to vacuum some lines before I use my Recovery rig to drain that old broken down Sanyo. Been meaning to get that ready for another project..

The Gree Crown 18kbtu is still running fine. It's able to handle the very cold weather.
When just had our 1st snow storm. Got almost a foot of snow around here..
