Wow, your project should make a tremendous difference, not only with the added insulation, but also with tons of bricks as a thermal buffering mass that will now be
inside your thermal envelope.
Keep us posted... you haven't by any chance been datalogging your indoor temperatures by any chance have you? Nice to be able to see the data of a before and after.
