Ron,

The majority of inverters, that are designed for grid connect, are 240 V. Other than that, so long as you don't over produce, you are spot on.

I really like the epphase microinverters and you can get them for under $100 each (M215 $89, M250 $99) from Renvu.

If they lose grid power, they shut off in msec.
