My holding tank alarm went off yesterday.

It's a new record of just over nine and a half weeks since the last time the holding tank was emptied.

I think the first time it had to be emptied after we moved in was 5 weeks.

That means we have almost cut our water bill in half.

I haven't been using the sand filter. More than anything, it's a matter of space available in my laundry room. My laundry room is also the furnace, water heater, water softener, pressure tank, and pantry room.

It's just small and cramped in there. I do have a little bit of room to the SIDE of the graywater tank. It might be better for me to design some sort of filter system that goes there. Unfortunately, it could no longer be gravity-fed, so I would need another pump (which means money and electricity use!)
