And I'm starting to think 2700K might be better for outdoor use.
If they don't attract as many bugs, a little less light is okay.
Some of the HD reviews compare the brightness to other blubs.
In one review there is a side-by-side picture.

And the same review shows that you are right about the brightness of the 5000K.
