I'm looking for information on how someone gets started in the Alternate Energy industry? I'm very interested in this type of work, but how does one get into it? Do you need an electricians degree? Or is Alternative Energy it's own curriculum all together?

Also, is there a good living to be made in AE? I know there is at least one Alternate Energy shop in my area, but they don't seem to do alot of advertising. So is the industry really still in its infancy or am I just not in the know? Before I make any huge decisions I'd like to know what the opportunities are. Thoughts/info anyone?
