I would say get new braided lines if new one does not have them. Also check the size of the fittings. I replaced my sink faucet a while ago and it was a PIA because the line from the wall is a odd size that is not common and the valve was broken.

It made it harder since I was also adding a water filter as a separate tap, so I had a weird combo of NPT, compression, and press in fittings mostly in non standard sizes.
