Did you end up building any sort of roof/snow protection over the new Gree? Looked through the thread but didn’t see anything about it, hopefully I didn’t miss the post. IIRC you built something over one of the Sanyos correct?

Had a Bryant (carrier) 18k mini installed. They claim heating down to -22*F. Supposed to get to 2*F here tonight. It’s the sole heat source for my 700 sq ft home. Looking forward to giving it a workout.

I ask because during the last snow storm here I made a makeshift lean-to out of some cardboard over the coil side of the mini and it went from sucking up a blizzard to almost no flakes making it to the coil. Seems like a major efficiency improvement.
