I just got my booster shot yesterday, because it's been over 6 months since I had my second shot.
Also got the flu shot and I've been feeling beat all day. Too done in to take a walk around the block this cool New England evening.

I think my expectations of vaccine success were too optimistic.
But, the Israeli study tells me that we may be pretty well protected from landing in ICU.
I dislike the fact that even after 3 jabs, I can still get sick (and maybe die) from covid.

Your question about 'Social Distancing' is important to most seniors (I'm 75).
It seems the Delta version of covid is super contagious.
Many doctors now believe it's going to impossible to avoid the Delta.
They think that Everyone is going to get Delta, sooner or later.

Good N95 masks and good Social Distancing is going to be a must,
if you aren't protected by antibodies from previous infection, or vaccinated.
Those precautions might allow you to pick the time frame when Delta finds you.
(I just ordered more N95 masks).
Since my wife and I have the triple-jab, it might be better to get the Delta
this fall, before the protective Booster shot starts to wear off. Next summer?
If we get a low grade infection, it might be mild enough to avoid hospitalization.
If that's the case, we might be able to enjoy next summer above ground..

Good Luck,
Rich
