My co-home-owner would really like to do concrete counters but has a friend who used to do them for a living and that person now recommends not doing it because of the work involved in getting all of the pin holes out, how difficult it is to seal it from stains and keep the edges from chipping.
I work with granite counter tops for a living, so I can get my hands on those polishing pads and polisher with center water feed, a friend of mine just told me that he used to work with concrete and has a 2 by 4 section that he needs to polish, so I'm going to see how that goes.
If I were to do them I would like to try using crushed glass as the aggregate so when you polish it down you have colored glass showing.
