I've become well known in the family as a computer guy.
It's only 20% true, but there is no escaping it.
These days, I've been buying pre-built PCs. First a Dell, and now a lenovo.
No more building for me. (I do change out the PS and add graphics boards, memory etc).
Got laid off from NEC, after many years as a senior manufacturing test engineer, tending to NEC printers and PC lines..
When I first went to work at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory ATR (Antenna Test Range).
I was eager to dive into microwave antenna testing. (being a ham radio geek).
But, they had read my resume and gave me two pallets of old PCs to repair..
After about a month of digging into dust filled antiquities they called PCs,
I got really fed up with working on PCs.. And software.. Windoze and Novel!
Yeah, PCs used to be fun.. Not anymore..
