100W LED modules (that's an actual 100W, not 100W...
100W LED modules (that's an actual 100W, not 100W equivalent) are about $10 on Amazon. Get two of them, run them at 60% or so power, and you'll very easily get the level of light you're looking for....

Probably because LEDs are easier to focus and easier to dim, making them more efficient in many "real world" applications. It is also worth noting that LEDs tend to be more efficient when dimmed.
