Well, the $500 it would cost for him to fill his fuel oil tank is more then he spends in a winter on going to the gas station and buying a 5 gallon can of diesel fuel, so I'm guessing he's using less...

A friend of mine who is 82 and heats for the most part with wood but has a fuel oil furnace as back up is looking for a cheaper way to run that back up heat.
My first thought was waste veggie oil...
