your idea has been used in gardens for a long time. If the conditions were right i think it may work for you put why not just aerate the lawn and rake compost into the holes?

I believe its 12 on center if my memory serves me right from when I was seeing it installed AC. But only Raden can confirm. It works well but you want it in a cement slab to even the heat out....

Ok I hope im not tooo late to chime in but insulation is where you want to spend your money. Heat rises so you want to get at least an R21 or higher in your ceiling then your walls but R11 will do...

Well I am a Professional Insulator so atm I am focusing on getting the house insulated to the best it can be but I am thinking a heat pump would help out my already efficient propane boiler combo unit
