I notice this too. On windy days with a full sun...

I notice this too. On windy days with a full sun I put out more power. I was wondering if the wind 'cleaned' the air up a bit?

There are better designs out now than the brake drum wind mill. Hugh has newer books with more efficient, longer lasting designs.
