Wow! That's amazing! I was picturing the prop in the normal vertical posistion.
I can see how the center suspension line could work. I bet even exhaling a little air on a blade would tilt it!
A...

A fellow was mowing grass by the roadside, well over 100 feet way, when the...

Can't wait to see the pics! And of course a video of power generation..

24 feet is pretty tall.. I've got a 30' ham radio tower and when I get up there to work on it, it feels WAY too high!

I looked around for Guy-wire clamps and didn't find much..

Most of the stuff I saw was for TV & small Ham radio masts..

I kinda liked this idea.

I wonder if you removed those two clamp-on sinks and added a good 3" or 4" muffin fan
about 1 or 2 inches away from the hotspot, using an 'L' bracket mount from the base bolt??

The air blast is...

Heat sink design problem

It looks like the blades on top of the heat sink are too short and too close together.
And those on the sides should have been a bit longer.

If that big boy sink you added on the bottom is...

It sounds like you are going to be using some big relays. So, be aware of sparks, if you get any hydrogen.

When you do try those high capacity batteries, keep a close eye on the max watts. Just in case.

But, from the sounds of your 24V 18Ah test, it seems like the inverter is self-limiting.

As I...

I was just looking at the specs, and I saw the PV power limit..

Operating Voltage range: 12.5V to 28V Maximum input Voltage: 28V
Solar Panel: 30W minimum, only use PV panels with maximum power voltage at 17.5V.

That seems to really limit how high you can...

1 out of 200,000? sounds like they are pulling your leg

1 out of 200,000?? It seems like they would want that one back to analyze.
I'm sure most manufactures would want to take a look at it, for QA.

And, "put the two LIGHTEST ones opposite each other...

Well, looking at the amount of steel that's been removed from the center area,
IMHO, they made a design mistake with those holes.
I doubt the bending would have occurred if not for the weakness...

That does not look real thin..

Is the convex shape symmetrical? There must have been a lot of wind loading
to bend a disc shape like that..
I can understand bending an aluminum bar, but not convexing a flat disc..

Was the 1st test really that bad?

Is it just me? Or does the power look better at low wind speeds with 3 blades??
I know you had some error factor in the 3 blade tests, but looking at 15 mph
results, just seems like too much...

So, how does this work?
Do you drive 20 MPH to see how much power a 20 MPH wind will make?
Or, do you just drive to the top of a nice hill and wait for the wind?
