I found that running a 240v electric dryer off...

I found that running a 240v electric dryer off 120v power makes it pretty effective.

If you really want the ultimate in low electricity use, get a gas dryer.

My local appliance repair guy says he loves heatpump dryers.
He gets lots of service calls and 99% of them are lint build up. Easy $100.
