I've always prefered the "throw the whole thing...
I've always prefered the "throw the whole thing out a second story window" method. Not recomended if you want to reuse the counter.

Assemble most of it before dropping the bowl in the counter.
Don't forget to calk under the lip of the bowl.
a little plumber's putty under the drain ring will help avoid leaks.
And don't catch...
