Yeah, there is a plug in Prius. In 2013 they released the first version. It has 11 miles of range. The 2017 Prius Prime has 25 miles of range.

In 2013 Nissan updated their batteries to a newer chemistry. I'm not sure the newer cars have the same heat issues the older Leaf's have.

I keep an eye on them every once in a while on craigslist. The cheapest I've seen is $13k for a 2012 that had 100k miles on it already.
