Hot water solar system of house4u (Viktor)

Hi, my name is Viktor. I have made my heating solar system by myself. It consist of 10 collectors with total area about 18.2m2, Heat storage 1600L and DHW boiler 250L.

Here is my online monitor - so you may see how it works in real time. But i think 8 hrs of time difference makes it hard. Also you can use data archive.

Very nice Viktor, I am curious about where you got the sunselect absorber? Are there companies that sell it without frames?

I was at their factory 10 years ago in Lauenförde Germany. It was very nice and I was envious that we didn't have such a place over here.

Hi, Mike. Yes we have a manufacturer of solar collectors in Ukraine and it uses germany's sunselect copper leaf. And this company sold me them because of small defects (about 5% of all area). As usually this company even do not sell solar collectors, the install high quality solar systems and use only own collectors.

But sunselect is not so important! It is good but not necessary :) Here is a simple video of my first solar collector in February 2 years ago. Absorber is a blackened copper leaf.

As you see - temperature is also high, but i used double glazing for it.

The collector is nice. I really like the insulation blocks going on the house. I saw them in Germany as well. They are polyurethane?

Insulation blocks are very popular in Ukraine. Almost everyone use them for building of new house. It is aerated concrete or foam concrete. Concrete with air bubbles! Try google images by phrase "aerated concrete" and you will see lot of pictures.
