Keurig Elite K40 Single Serve Coffeemaker is using 5 watts off.
I got a good deal on this on black Friday. My father-in-law likes coffee. So this seems to work fast and good. I measured it when it was turned off and it uses 5 watts all the time.
It is now connected to a power strip and I get turned off at the strip. no more sucking power all the time. if you have one you might connect up a Kill a watt to it to see if yours does the same thing. |
You made me check my coffee maker! Nespresso pixie, 0 watts stand by and after warm up. 1100 watts during the 30 sec brew cycle. Checked a few others while making breakfast. 900 watt Sunbeam Microwave, 2 watts standby. Nurtribullet 0 watts standby.
I've been thinking about a timered powerstrip to help automate my vampire loads I use each day. |
Nice find, thats over 3.5 kWh per month killed right there.

I was a bit surprised when I found my toaster, with no digital display, consumed 2.4 watts sitting there doing nothing. More than my microwave and oven combined which both have a backlit LCD digital display that remains on.
