Another Solar Tracker

Hi

This was going to be a picture of my two 2.5Kw Grid Connect two axis trackers in the afternoon sun but I haven't enough posts to be able to post an image or link. Please bear with me.

The panels and the inverter were sourced directly from China.

There are ten 250 watt panels on each unit.

Bosco 12-26-11 02:18 AM

The inverter is 5Kw capacity.

Hopefully, my next post will show the picture!

Thank you for your patience!

Hi Bosco,
Do the panels and frames turn automatically?
How did you make your center pivot?
Nice work BTW.

Welcome to the site.

That is an interesting setup. Definitely tell us more about it.

That kinda looks like a very large TV rotor in the center..
Reminds me of a very large Ham radio EME VHF antenna I saw somewhere years ago.
(In Texas I think)..

Two questions:
Why is there a big off-set gap between the two rolls?
How do you handle the seasonal declination changes?

Offset

My guess is most likely they are offset so one doesnt shade the other Xringer.
This guy has a very interesting concept
