Bottled water

On EM.com someone was saying that gas is cheaper than bottled water, so this poll...

My answer is no.

The few remaining bottles of water in our house are here since a year when we bought a filtering carafe.

Denis.

No. Even at work, where it's free to me, I keep a couple bottles and refill from the filtered sink faucet.

Daox 11-18-08 05:51 PM

Nah, I fill up a bottle with ice and water in the morning and take it to work.

Nope for me either. The only time I will EVER buy it is if I'm in a country or place where I don't trust there local water. At work it's from the water cooler, but at home we have a Brita. But we're looking at a filtration system for the kitchen sink.

I'm not surprised by the results thus far, :)

To answer the question honestly I put yes. I do buy bottled water when I'm on a motorcycle ride in the summer and I need to stop for a refreshment. Mind you, I probably buy ~8 bottles of water a year. Quite honestly it disgusts me when I see people walking out of WalMart with a case of bottled water or when I go to someones house and they drink that instead of tap or filtered (brita type) water. Now, am I much better buying a bottle of pop instead of water?

NO for me... we have the nifty little filtered water thingy on the fridge door. I will buy a powerade from time to time, just to keep the larger bottle to refill from the fridge

Nope. No bottled water. We have a deep well out here and the water is pretty good. Prolly better for us than the commercially sold stuff.

Coming from SW Florida where the water is filled with iron, sulfur and bacteria, a drink out of my faucet is awesome even 12 years later. That bottled stuff tastes like a big swallow of nothing to me.

I do; but I'm not buying bottles (well I did years ago) just water.

I love to drink water; and my well sucks, and the filters I've tried just never make me happy.

For everyday drinking, no. I have a 1 liter nalgine type bottle I fill up at the drinking fountain at school, and get it filtered out of the fridge at home. I did buy a couple of cases of bottled water on sale just to have on hand in case of emergency though.
