Building a Steel Plate roller
1 Attachment(s)
I need a plate roller. Someone sells a set of plans for this one.
They also have a materials list what you need to buy to make it. https://www.etsy.com/listing/8789266..._id=2403653662 I can cut it out with my CNC plasma table. I am going to build a trenching bucket for subcompact tractor and it has a curved back. The back of the bucket is 10 gauge the sides and the rest are 3/8” steel. I could make without a roller but this will make a nicer product and I can use it for other projects. Like fire rings who know what else. This is a picture of one someone else made from the plans. https://ecorenovator.org/forum/attac...1&d=1619464722 |

Very cool. How thick can you roll?
|
It will roll 9 inches of 1/4 inch and wider for thinner material up to 36".
Later I can make fire pits with it. |

I rolled some 10 gauge this morning. It was simple and quick.
This will work great for my trenching bucket. https://ecorenovator.org/forum/attac...1&d=1620574425 |

My new plate roller is very heavy. I just bought it a 500 pound lift table. I will devise a way it t will not slide around and possibly fall off the table.
I will have do something with the handle and release mec. This will allow me to roll it out of the way when not using it. Then I can raise it up to use it. Then when done lower it and move it out of the way. https://ecorenovator.org/forum/attac...1&d=1622056315 It was on sale $159 |

We have now sold 51 trenching buckets.
In the last four months I have used over 88 pounds of mig welding wire. It has been really busy. It is increasing each month. https://ecorenovator.org/forum/attac...1&d=1632256636 Here is some of what we are shipping each week. Plus steps Sentinels protectors. I usually stock up over the weekend. It is Tuesday and we are almost out of everything and a dealer just added a bulk order. I bought a new brush hog at the beginning of the summer and still have not connected it to my tractor. My welding has really improved that is a good thing. |
We have sold 75 Trenching buckets. This is turning into a real business. But it is still a weekend thing.
