High Voltage Off-grid inverter

Hi all,

I am looking for a high voltage off-grid inverter for solar application (preferably at 216V DC input). Could you please recommend me some ?

Anjal

Whey the high voltage?
The only reason I see for having a battery bank that has that high of a voltage is if it's in a vehicle and you are using your vehicle for your off grid back up, otherwise
If you can find an inverter with a high voltage input it's most likely going to be expensive.

The only reason I am looking for high voltage is because of the large distance between the panels and the batteries. The cost of cabling at 48V was pretty massive, so I was just hoping that I could minimize that up to a certain extent by going up at higher voltages.

Midnite solar makes 250volt charge controllers.. And I think xantrex has a 600v charge controller..

Right, even the 600v charge controllers tend to be set up for 48v battery banks because a 600v DC shut off switch would be so costly it would start to make the cost of the wire to run between the panels and the battery bank seem cheap!

MPPT (maximum power point tracker) allows higher panel voltage that charges a lower battery voltage.
