Planetary Conservation...
 

Looks like the planet is going to be doing a little conversation of it's own.

This graphic represents current thinking about when the onset of global petroleum decline will begin.


According to a recent article written by Robert L. Hirsch (author of the original 'Hirsch Report', 2005), onset of the decline will begin in the range of 2011 to 2016.

The article discusses how various large scale conservation plans and also economic declines could delay the onset by time periods measured in weeks.

The consequences could hardly be more profound.

I think the most interesting part of that report is that usage reduction due to economic slowdown would result in delaying the slide by a whole 2-3 weeks. We're hopelessly addicted to oil.
