goddamn hot!

The outside temp is 95F, no wind and the dewpoint is 76F. Tropical! How is it out east?

This is Oklahoma, not southern Alabama for Pete's sake . . . . . Normally at this time of year we are this hot or a bit hotter, but with a dewpoint in the upper 50's F and a breeze. Not bad at all. This reminds me of growing up in New England (uggh).

Same temp and humidity today in central Oklahoma. Last night, dew point up to 79F, (92% humidity). MEGA heat stress for my beef cattle.

I have the water sprinklers going full blast and the cattle are crowded around it.

Humm, hacked geothermal unit in cow shed . . . . . . ?

We're high 80's and dew point is at 74 degrees at this moment in Minnesota. It sucks to say this but these temperatures and dew points have been common July weather over the past 5 years in Minnesota. Humidity is brutal and I think we can blame our 11,842 bodies of water exceeding 10 acres for it. If it wasn't for staying near family or working the same job, I'd move near AC Hacker or to Seattle. Similar heat but without the piles of snow. Looks like they have dew points in the mid-50s, not sure if that's common but it would help to have that because then I could open my windows overnight.

How far east?

Today is supposed to be 34C (93F) in Warsaw, t-storm in the afternoon, which means it will be humid after the storm:( And the warm nights (21C/70F) don't make it easy to cool the house, which we've been able to keep from heating up (20-22C downstairs, 23-25C upstairs). It's still better than when I lived in North Carolina, by far!!

I remember when temps above 30C (86F) were an anomoly here - no more than 1-2 days per summer. Last few years we get more such temps, with stronger t-storms. But a lot of our friends still don't see a problem and claim there is no such thing as climate change...

98F for today's high with 57% humidity. It hasn't hit 100F yet this year but its forecast to by Tuesday. August is hot but summer is half over!
