Here is a cool DIY on how to build a wind turbine. Its not incredibly through, but its decent. It hows how to make the hub/bearing/generator, but doesn't really go into how to make the blades all that much. It has links (quite a few) to sites that have more info though. DIY 1000 watt wind turbine |
What does this output? Pulsing DC or AC? You're right, they could be a bit more thorough in their description and photos.

Okay, that makes sense, I guess. You can't control the AC frequency, so convert it to DC. If you have batteries, then you can do a 60Hz AC inverter, or just use it as DC.
