Good to hear back from you. Installing solar? I'm glad to know about the solar installation activity... always good news.

I think that you have an interesting project going on.

Please keep us posted as the project progresses (photos too!).

Jeepers! Now you've got to dig a 2,100 foot trench!! ;)

Kinda makes me wonder, does anyone just dig a big wide loop in the ground,
and then lay out the pipe in a big gentle curve around the loop??
(Instead of the traditional slinky coils).?.

lol i have to dig 3 trenches around 90' long 3'wide and 6'deep

slinkey fab at night

the blue and black fitting is a geo pipe to pvc compression coupling. i have no welds in my system

That's pretty neat, rolling the slinkys into big ball..
You might be able to get into the record books with one of those!
World's Largest Ball of Geothermal Pipe!

Normally, those things take a bunch of people to manhandle them into their trenches.
A big ball you can roll, might make it easier eh?

No welds, huh? That's great! I had way too many welds (nearly 100) and the increased friction they caused effectively lengthened my total pipe length by about 30%... that's a lot.

Where did you come across the HDPE to PVC compression fitting?

How much was it?

I might use something like that where the HDPE comes into the basement..

Best,
