New HydroRight "light touch" dual flush conversion kit (with a handle)

The one complaint I've heard from people, and I can agree with it, is that the hydroright conversion can be a bit hard to push the button on. Now, for 90% of the population its not an issue. But say for young kids or an elderly grandparent, its not the easiest thing in the world. Well, looks like they're about to fix that. I just got an email from them announcing that they're coming out with a new "light touch" conversion kit with a more traditional handle (you can still use the button if you want though).

My toilet came with one of those. I don't mind the buttons. I actually kinda like them because it's a change from the everyday. The problem is that they don't get the poop down when you press #2 and don't get the pee down when you press #1. #2 is good for some pee. Pressing #2 twice is good for poop.

Maybe my toilet just sucks though.

I was only able to use the conversion on one of my toilets. The other has some odd mechanism to flush better that prevents me from using a conversion. However, the one that I did use it on flushes like a dream. I don't think I've ever used anything but the #1 flush and it gets everything down.

I take it you've already tried adjusting the water level and the adjustments on the conversion kit?

Adjust? Uhhhh.... no?

So when you press #1 it actually flushes?

I'm going to go tinker with it right now.

Then test it out! He he.

Yeah, the kit has an adjustment for each flush. You just push up or down on the green/blue adjusters and it'll flush more or less water based on that setting. I also like to increase the amount of water in the tank if possible. More water = higher head = more pressure albeit a small amount. Then you just adjust the kit water levels up along with the water level.
