This is turning out to be the best march since my intertie went in. With the new system selling back power along with it I expect to break 1Mwh this month which is very good for a march in my area.

(Purple is 523 KWH)

I am not sure what I am looking at on your graph. Is purple this year and the other colors different years? I this just production or net after what you used?

I just checked and the 10kw system I put in a couple of weeks ago generated 50kwh yesterday.

This is what I sold. 2012,13,14. This system is purely intertie, my other system is the off grid/interitie, between both I think I'll do over a meg but I use about 300KWH so basically I'm selling about 700 or 800 KWH for march.

here's the month breakdown:

Hi Mike,
Was it a sunny day?

Rob

Somewhat, yes. But not entirely. Me thinks you guys watch the watts a bit closer than I do, haha.

March turned out very good. We made 1,661 kWh our second best month so far with our best single day was 87.4 kWh.
This covered all our power needs including charging the Chevy Volt twice a day and the mini splits. We will carry a small amount to the next month.

This is all for March. 2013 Last year’s
Natural gas bill was $126.22
Electric was $150.09
Car gas bill was $250 (now all solar powered Chevy Volt this year.)
Total utilities with car gas was $526.31

This Year Bills
Electric bill $8.29 (new mini splits for the heat $8.29 is meter charge we carried forward 85kwh)
Natural gas bill was $30.28 (hot water and extra heat)
Car gasoline $34
Total utilities/Car gas with solar power, Mini Splits and EV car Total this year $73.07

Saving $453.24 compared to last year.

We have had solar for one year.

We saved $1,720 off the electric bill. But this also enabled us to charge our EV car and drive just under 20,000 EV miles saving buying $3,174 in gas. We were able to heat with our new Mini Splits saving $431.20 natural gas.

First year savings was $5,325.2
This is will give a two year payback for the solar then the next year will pay back Mini splits and hot water heater LED bulbs plus some.
I probably won’t detail this out each month anymore but I thought some people would like to see the savings. Achieved form all these projects.

Been watching your system production for a while. Looks great. Might have to take a look at your system one of these trips to Charlotte. Plan is to spend a few days in SC looking at areas and property. (planning on moving there in a year or two)

Been wanting to do a solar install and it would fit on the shop roof just fine. Course I'd take it with us when we move...
