FS Airtap A7 Heat Pump Water Heater- new in box

2 Attachment(s)
Good evening!

I have this, New In Box, Airtap A7 that's been sitting in my garage for about 7 years according to the shipping label. I recently went with an 80 gallon A.O. Smith heat pump water heater instead.

Everything is there as it was from the factory.

Shipping weight, according to the existing label is 50 pounds.

Asking $150 plus shipping

If you have any questions please let me know!

I think AC Hacker was looking for one of those. I sent him a message.

Thank you!

I'm sure someone who's been thinking about one would like to try it.

You won't find a better price point on something that's brand new.

Very sincerely, BP

Yes, I will buy it.

How do we make contact to make this happen? Perhaps you could message me your contact info.

PM me your contact info. I don't have enough posts to send.

I've mostly just been a lurker in the board for about 10 years.

Other option is to flame this thread to get my post count up.

Ok so tell us what you think about the new water heater.

So far I like it, it's an A.O. Smith PHPT-80 (https://www.supplyhouse.com/AO-Smith...p-Water-Heater)

It's a little older but found it new-in box. Probably the last new one in the entire country. Had to drive about 170 miles round trip but seems to be worth it. I have it on Hybrid mode. Energy factor of 2.30 I think which I believe is slightly more than the Airtap. Looks like the newer ones are closer to 3.0+.

I've been surprised at how often the HP portion runs so I can only assume it's saving me money. I won't know until probably next month's electric bill. Honestly, 80 gallons is WAY to big for my house, it's a beast, but I couldn't pass up on it. Just looked at the HP + Fan combined usage. 4.55 amps x 240v= 1092 watts vs 4500 minimum for a regular element.

So in a matter of days I went from an old leaky tank water heater, to pricing new electric water heaters with intentions of adding the Airtap, to a brand new old stock A.O. Smith hybrid.

My next few projects: pellet stove insert, replacing a leaky back entry door and maybe installing a radiant barrier.

After that saving energy gets expensive for me. My house isn't that big, right at 1310 sqft, my average electricity usage is right at 720 kwh. Hopefully that will drop a fair amount as my last standard electric WH was @ 5200 kwh per year vs 1885 for the new one.

Hate to do this but I have to raise my post count in order to send messages to AC Hacker.

I need 20 posts and only have 7.

Warning, SPAM to follow.
