Your thoughts on "magic glue" for refrigeration pipes?
Recently I came across this product:
https://www.amazon.com/Highside-HS32.../dp/B01LZT77G7 It's not cheap but claims to join copper refrigerant pipes up to 1200 PSI without brazing. Also seems to have a bunch of good reviews online. This would make things much easier for DIY projects. It even claims to join copper and aluminum, which is a brazing nightmare. Part of me says "poppycock!" You can't glue high pressure copper pipes! Then again it is 2023, and chemistry is amazing - we live in the future now! Anybody know if this actually works? Anybody try it? |
Interesting stuff. Never tried it, but as you said chemistry is pretty amazing. My guess is it'll work well, but for how long is the question. Thermal cycling can do a number on many materials.

Wow, not that soldering is hard to do but, that sounds amazing! Let us know if you try it?

I guess I'll have to give it a try. I suppose I can get a refund if it doesn't work at all...
I'll let you know how it turns out. |
