Off grid, what inverter are you using?
Curious about real world set ups. I'm slowly making a plan for mine. So many options, 12v/24v on up, 120 or 240v etc. Right now I'm planning starting small and adding on. Anyone using more than one inverter? I'm considering a stand alone 240v unit to run a minisplit and a seperate 120v for everything else. Additional question, are you using any dc, lights or pumps?

More inverter reviews and teardowns than you ever know existed:
https://www.youtube.com/user/knurlgnar24/videos One trick for reducing power use of motor and resistive loads is to get a 100V/50Hz inverter. For electronics, you want a 170V peak filtered square wave, which is easily obtained by hacking a cheap (but good quality) modified sine inverter to make the dead time very short, then adding series inductors to filter out EMI. |
i am using stand alone solar inverter which is very easy to use and reduce the consumption power and also available at cheapest prices.
