I saw this show last night and found it to be very informative.

The segments about drugs and hookers might be in there, because John Stossel is a libertarian.?.

But, those segments were somewhat interesting too..

Overall, I gave it 3.5 stars..

dont get me wrong I enjoy watching this, but if its on FOX News one has to assume, theyre stretching the facts to work in their republican slanted favor

I didn't enjoy watching the show (as aired on Fox) at all.. It made me furious
to see what our government is doing. It's outrageous.
We need to fire 95% of all government employees.. ASAP..

I can't place a box painted block with a piece of clear plastic over the front and a couple holes in the back on my house legally. It would get hot in the sun and would therefore be a solar heating device which can only be installed if it's been through testing and meets federal safety rules.

You can't get rid of government and their regulating fast enough for me.

At various times in my life I've worked with rock and have occasionally sculpted some minor things. I saw a beautiful sink carved out of a rock and thought that I could do something similar as a hobby and I mentioned this to a friend. He said it wouldn't be "permitted" by the building code. I didn't believe him so I called my local building inspector, and sure enough, unless the sink is certified by the CSA you can't put it into your house.

You can do lots of things with your house if you don't get a permit. I don't know of anyone who gets a permit for replacing a cracked sink, garbage disposal, or dishwasher on their own even though apparently you are supposed to get the appropriate plumbing or electrical permits for those things. Also, sure you probably can't have a solar heater behind your house but its only an issue if you have cops snooping around your backyard or have nosy neighbors calling them.

Utopia: Government exists only to give me solar energy, I am allotted land, money doesn't exist, I do what i want with my 10 acres, and call it a day,
just as long as I follow EPA regulations, why not start over?

I say, the man should redistribute all the land , and let us write them parking tickets.:thumbup:

libertarians have flaws, their major flaw being, that they can't deal with anything being decided for them, and

they only settle for true autonomy, which is reckless when in the wrong hands. certain laws have to exist other than the right to carry, like the right not to be at the recieving end of racism. Hell, they should've locked the clan up so long ago, every last one of em.
