ἀποκάλυψις apokálypsis

Didn't they change the name from Global Warming to 'Climate change' two or three years back?
Around the time we started seeing a lot of really cold temperatures?
2009-2010 winter saw record cold spells

I suggest you follow the 'consensus' and change the name of your site to,
'Global Climate Change', or maybe 'Climate Change Apocalypse'..

"An Apocalypse (Greek: ἀποκάλυψις apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil" or "revelation")
is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind"

Sounds kinda cool, and scary too.
Plus, it's good either way. If it gets hot, or cold next year.. ;)

Whatever the weather changes to, hot or cold it seems to have started
a crime wave in many parts of the world.
Just Google 'carbon credit crimes' and check it out.

The disgusting part of the whole story is the frauds being committed by researchers,
just to get more taxpayer's money..
Is the global warming scare the greatest delusion in history? - Telegraph

Slowly, people are becoming aware that some researchers are draining a great deal of money from the taxpayers,
to do more research on weather change.
And then, they seem to be editing the data, so they can get more money.?.

What I don't like is a political ideology that takes seems to be taking
up the cause of preventing the weather from changing,
simply as a method to scam money from citizens..
That's just sick. What if it turns out global warming (or cooling)
really ends up actually being a problem that we could have prevented,
had we taken it seriously (instead of just using the idea for scamming).

Hey, I found a movie for your website!!

I hear climate change mostly affects poor people and brown people so I don't think it's an issue either, we already let corporations take our tax dollars to pollute and in case you haven't been paying attention we are running out of tax money so spending some to try to do any good will just hurt us so why should we bother trying to make the world a better place, after all it might just be a trick! then what are we left with? cleaner water and cleaner air, entitlements that poor people think they deserve! because that's what it really want, free clean water and free clean air and not to have tropical storms destroy their cities, storms that are linked to climate change using science but then again science is full of theories and anyway it's not like rich people who matter are being killed by these storms they are mostly happening in poor parts of the country and world where again, people feel they are entitled to things like a safe place to live, if we just get rid of these entitlements everything would be fine.

maybe if you would actually read some data and facts posted on my site youd open your eyes to the fact that youre being deceived by oil companies who spread false news reports about global warming not being real. bought and sold. per usual

It's been a good winter for ASHPs! :)

I've been watching the Boston weather, and it has been warmer than normal this winter.
Boston, MA 02108 Month Weather Report - AccuWeather.com

But, take a look at the last few months and you will only find one single day, where the high
temperature plot line, even touched the Record High plot line. (Oct 9 2011).

So, is it horrible global warming? Or is the jet stream moving around on us?

It's Christmas Eve Day, and it's 23F out.. So, that's pretty normal..
We've had our ups and downs this month..

And of course we will never forget this!
The Great October Snow Storm 10/29/2011 to 10/30/2011 (it's all about the leaves) - YouTube

Besides the storm, I'm kinda liking the weather this year..
So, I'm going to keep on exhaling killer CO2, and hoping for more mild weather!
(I have snow shoes, but have no wish to use them)! :D

Claiming that global warming is not real because the day to day weather in your area seems pretty stable is a common cop out.
The big affects that global warming, climate change or whatever you want to call it, has, is the larger over all weather patterns and a shift like this can have larger affects on tropical storms, on weather that makes it possible for us to grow food and other big pitcher issues, but as I pointed out, the most devastating affects tend to be for people who live in poorer areas and we've shown time and time again that poor people don't matter, there for climate change is not an issue.
Now if it was affecting rich people, that would be an issue that we would have to take care of, of course.
But as I see it, it's a self fixing problem, we have 7 billion people and if a few die off because of food shortages due to weather, oh well, if coastal cities are destroyed, it's an act of god (with a little nudge from us), so as long as climate change's affects are on the poorest of those 7 billion people I don't see any issue with scoffing at it, I can handle it being a few degrees warmer, or having to shovel my sidewalk an extra time or two, we'll show them.

Ah, Bermuda a paradise island!

What will become of those poor people??
Don't get out the life jackets just yet..
Global warming = sea level rise? Not exactly - Orange Punch : The Orange County Register
Is the beach is still right where it was the last time I was in Bermuda??
(And where it was when Juan de Bermudez was there in 1505)??

There is a variation..
"Sea Level In Bermuda Is Currently Almost A Foot Lower Than It Was 50 Years Ago"??
Sea Levels Online - State Selection

Yeah if you pick a year when it was high, for your comparison..
But, if you looked at the span between 1958 & 2011, it seems pretty stable.

Using the 5 month average smooths things out a bit.. Seems normal to me..
But, I was there between April 1963 and April 1965, when it was at a peak.
I'm glad I didn't go there on vacation in 1970!! I would have been horrified! :p
http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/slt...ds/2695540.png

Looking at the weather over the last few thousand years, no one can say climate change isn't real..
It's been happening a long time before we started exhaling CO2.. ;)

Solar,

I think your blog is a great idea, I'm glad you're doing it and I have it bookmarked.

Don't worry about the detractors, you have science on your side.

The oil companies have spent a huge amount of money to propagandize disinformation, because the longer they can delay large scale solutions, the more money they will make. The big tobacco companies did the same thing, all the while knowing that there was clear scientific evidence between smoking and serious health problems. It's all coming out of the same play-book, in some cases even the same people and the same firms are being brought in to create disinformation.

It's all a money game, more stalling = more profits.

So, as wrong as it is, you can understand why big oil and others who would also directly profit from the disinformation, do it. They will make more money.

The frustrating part is the people of lower means and lower education, who will be harmed by the effects of ignoring the link between our industrial culture and the health of our planet. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose, and still they persist... As far as Big Oil and it's corporate brothers are concerned, these people are useful idiots, they don't really understand their part in the greater game, but they play their part for the benefit of Big Oil.

As to the folks who buy into the disinformation, you shouldn't waste your time on reasoned conversation for their sake. It simply will not work... I know, I have tried.

Some people are embarrassed by their ignorance, these people are proud of it.

Solar, I wish you the best in what you are doing. Keep up the good work, I'm sure it will lead you in a very interesting direction.

Regarding Boston, you must consider the surround area of boston, such as Saint John in Canada far north, having recieved no snow this year, clearly the coasts are warmer than usual because of warmer sea water if you look at this link you will see that they should already have 37 inches of snow

St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the St Lawrence ice area North of Maine has had pathetic amounts of ice in the last few years, something never seen before, there just might be none there this year. Trying to claim that we haven't reached a record high means little, only 2-3 record highs would be broken on a far above average year, after all the records go back 120years, we already had proba bly2 this year, what about record warm low tempuratures? go to this page:
Daily Averages for Providence, RI - weather.com
record highs for Providence, RI ect..
You will fine 50 record highs in the last 10 years..

love it when people try to cite nonsense data.

and Kudos AC Hacker

http://images.intellicast.com/WxImag...arture/usa.jpg

the 2 week forecast for boston is 40's way above average for winter..

only two days has the high been lower than 40 so far this cold season, usually that number would be 30
