Hi all!

I'm a regular at ecomodder, and have been looking for a version of the forum for home improvement for a long time... now I found it!

I have some construction/renovation experience, and may start getting into the rental business soon. This seems like the perfect community to learn and bounce efficiency/energy ideas off of.

Where abouts in Wisconsin are you?

I'm in Wisconsin too.

The big thing for efficiency around here is plenty of insulation, caulk, and weatherstripping to keep the heating bill low in the winter!

I'm in the "Driftless" region in the Southwest of the state... Gotta agree with Ben on the insulation and airtightness, we're getting around -30F windchills at night this week!

I'm up here in the west central part of the state and I totally agree with Ben, a tight house is a nice house, in a way I can't wait for the next utility bill to show up to see how much less it is compared to last year.
