hi from Nottingham, England
A big 'hi' to all forum members!

Welcome to the site gb484. What brings you here?
|
Many of us recall your home as the famous stomping grounds of Robin Hood and his faithful companion Friar "Little" John - and of course Lady Marion and the band of "merry men" hiding out in the Major Oak (is it still there?).
I remember the TV series from more decades ago than I wish to admit . .. What can we help with - bows/arrows or deadfalls/traps for the terrible Lord of Nottingham? Also your area (Royal Sherwood Forest) was a source for domestic oil during WWII - one of the few sites in the UK that actually has (had?) productive wells. Steve |
heat pumps
I can see Nottingham's famous castle from my house but I come in peace, hoping to learn more about heat pumps and the associated technology from the 'merry men', and possibly women, on the forum! I have been reading the various threads concerning heat pumps and hacking heat pumps with great interest, particularly those from AC Hacker and Xwringer, plus the guy from Tortosa in Spain, Arcuino, (I think) who have all done some amazing stuff. Well, I took the plunge and bought myself a 3kw, aircon unit that I will fit myself. It comes ready charged with R410 refrigerant and with ready-to-fit patented connectors. All of this appears to be quite straightforward, but then I went and bought an atlantic alfea extensa duo split system to provide heat for my radiant floor and hot water. Well, not quite true. I bought just the indoor hydraulic module, a manufacturer's return, at a reasonable price, I think, around 1,000 dollars, but I can't find the Fujitsu AOYA 18 LALL outdoor module that is needed to make it work properly. I was hoping to use a cheap aircon unit but have been told by my nephew, who is a refrigeration engineer, that I must have the compatible specced Fujitsu unit to make it all work properly. So now I've joined the forum to ask what can be done to rescue the situation before I take my spanners and wrenches to dismember the module, which would be a shame. My nephew was not forthcoming with offers of any practical help. Any thoughts anyone? PS had to remove links to be able to post.

BTW, DAOX, ich finde das sehr niedlich, dass
Sie ausgerechnet in Germantown wohnen! |
Yes, Steve, oil was produced in the nearby village of Eakring during WW2
|
Now the oil barons want to begin fracking big style everywhere in the UK, including in what used to be the Nottinghamshire coalfields before Margaret Thatcher went head to head with the miners in 1985.

Wow 5 posts! I can put my links back in! The main one is here and necessary for an understanding of what is involved: http://www.atlantic-eesti.com/files/...stallation.pdf

Hurray! It worked!

The other link I took out is very interesting to my mind and concerns patented, pre-charged, ready-to-fit connectors that look like this: Kits de connexion / Magasin de Bricolage Brico Dépôt de ALLONNES and were invented by the CEO of this company: www.readyclim.com Raccordement frigorifique pour climatiseur. Simply brilliant!
