Grundfos and others make a neat little magnetic do-hingy that you put on the end of your pump motor and it shows how fast it is spinning. Kinda specific but neat, none-the less. Beer is the only other thing that comes easily to mind:D

How about 12V stuff like a timer, or pump, or thermostat? Very handy things in 12V systems :)
