Mounting PV panel supports

Last year I tore down my old crappy garage and am in the midst of rebuilding it. The new design is optimized for solar exposure so I can install PV eventually but can't afford it right away (this new building stuff is expensive!).

As I'm installing the new roof I am planning on installing the mounts for the future PV system.

Question: is there a "standard" spacing for these mounts to accept the rack system (or different types of rack systems) and ultimately the panels themselves?

Thanks for any info....

Here is a great tool to decide what you need.

It is based on more than one thing. Snow load, wind speed expected…..

Update: here's the progress: Ordered Quick Mount PV kits (very nice), all set for the future panel installation!
