Ok, I found a couple of things that I liked. That cable management stuff gave me some ideas.

I liked the pen turned into a laser using the DVD drive guts. Probably the destructive side of me coming out but if it lasted longer than a lighter and could be recharged with solar, it may be a decent substitute for lighting fires.
