Sensibo use on Sanyo 24KHS72
I've got a new fan motor to install in the indoor unit. It's been making noise like it was going to die soon. For a few years now!
In order to make the new motor last longer, I wanted to hack the indoor unit, and somehow turn off the fan motor, when the system was in idle mode. Then, I looked for an easier method of shutting down the system, and avoiding that 24-7-365ish fan motor, slowly burning it's bearings.. Now trying the Sensibo. It seems to work pretty well for over-night use. I'm trying to get the best sensor location and temperature limits worked out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MU2YSR4/ My offspring's family moved to a new home that has oil heat upstairs, and a nice 12k mini-split in the basement. (TV room / rec room). They are also trying a Sensibo to control the minimum heat in the basement. Since their new model Mini-split has the same old indoor fan more running, until the system has been turned off. I'm not sure if they will even need to have the M/S on, since the oil burner's waste heat keeps it nice down there.. However, once we get down in the single digits for a few days.. That Sensibo might come in very handy.. |
