It is quite disturbing how the Republican party has shunned alternative energy in general. Instead, they beat the oil drum tirelessly and relentlessly, even though a colossal amount of data pins the oil industry in a downward spiral. How long will it take for the average citizen to realize that noone is going to tell them to switch energy sources?

One thing is for sure: fossil fuels and capitalism go hand in hand. It is a blatant conflict of interest for a rich and powerful business leader to tell you not to use his product. It would take his hand out of your wallets. The cash gluttons will keep squeezing the Earth until it has nothing left to give. Meanwhile, the 99% will continue to pay more and more immortal dollars every month until they cannot afford to...

The part of the story that really makes my hair stand on end, is that two of those panels are now in a museum in China.

What an ironic monument to American political short sightedness and corruption, and what a clear statement about China's foresight.

In the 80's I really shook my head at Ronnie Ray Gun taking down the panels and i have been disappointed in the attitude of both our govts ever since, but especially the Canadian ones. We have no common belief in the need for a clean environment so we have no long term programs to support the process. They come and go which serves no one.
